how to prepare
The workouts are not released until the day, so just like the CrossFit Games, the only way you can prepare yourself is by training for the unknown and unknowable.
We would however suggest some rest before The Primal Throwdown. For most athletes it is two days of multiple workouts;- so having a well-rested body at the start of the event is a great start.

Every year we see athletes who choose to enter a category below what they could or should be performing at. We encourage every athlete to be realistic about their abilities and push themselves when they select their athlete category at The Primal Throwdown.

ON THE DAY (WHAT TO BRING)
What should you bring to The Primal Throwdown? Simply put, any event could be seen at The Primal Throwdown, so we suggest bringing everything you might need to CrossFit for the day, so:
- Clothing & Shoes
- Food and Water
- Accessories;- skipping ropes, wrist wraps, gloves, knee sleeves
- Support; yes, anyone can come down and watch you compete!
Tickets will go on sale before the event. In the last 4 years they have sold out with a matter of minutes, you will not be able to compete without one and you wont find them on the door!
